"Because we believe every vulnerable or disadvantaged child should own a teddy bear."

My name is Melanie Smith and I am founder of Angelbear which I started in January 2010. I had no idea how much you would all take Angelbear to your hearts and I thank you all for making it a huge success. I want Angelbear to touch every country across the globe and reach every child in need of a hug!

"My name is Marie Williamson. I started knitting for Angelbear in February 2010 and became a partner in August 2010.

I was so impressed at how big Angelbear had become and wanted to be part of it. Now I want to help take it even further, helping even more children than we thought possible."

"My name is Greg Page, and I have become an Ambassador for Angelbear because of my involvement in the children's entertainment group, The Wiggles.

Even though I am no longer a part of the Wiggles, children are a large part of my life. I miss seeing the smiles on the faces of the children now that I am not out on stage singing with the Wiggles anymore, but I do know that Angelbears bring a huge smile to the faces of the children who receive them, and I urge you all to get involved in this great program.

Help Angelbear to accomplish the miracle of a smile for as many children as possible and get started on your own Angelbear to be sent out as part of a larger dispatch of Angelbears, or make a donation to enable Angelbear to continue the good work that they do!"

August 2010: Public Speaking

Melanie Smith and Marie Williamson are pleased to announce that they can now take bookings for public speaking.

Both are highly professional and adept speakers and for a nominal fee can attend your club/institution to deliver a presentation on Angelbear.

Materials will be provided for members to have some knitting tuition and try their hand at making a bear for a vulnerable or disadvantaged child themselves.

We tailor our presentations to suit a range of ages/stages and gender and from complete novice to experienced crafters.

Prices start at £60 per session. Please contact us for further details, booking and availability enquiries.
